NHS health checks

I am familiar with the one that they started where you get a letter asking you to make an appt with the GP for a check up involving blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes healthy living etc.

Does anyone know of a check where women are called up for a check on sexual health (not smear) that is happening? The DD of a friend had it recently and my DD was given a random appt for a 'review' which she has cancelled.

No, never heard of that - only know about the first one you mentioned for over 40s. Would it be worth ringing your surgery to see if it's a new thing?

It was two different surgeries, so I am trying to find out if it is a local thing. Friends daughter (mid 30s) was just invited for a review so surprised to find it was lots of questions about her sexual health Hmm It seems to be a bizarre waste of time/money when people are having trouble getting appointments these days.

DD cancelled hers, and didn't get any answers about what it was for other than a review. It could be a coincidence and they called the wrong person.

My DS has not been invited for any review and has not been to the doctor since he was 3.
