Hi all,

I've just been diagnosed with IBS - are there any fellow sufferers who might have any tips for how to keep on top of it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, i've had ibs for about 28 years. How were you diagnosed? What are your symptoms?

Have you tried the low fodmap diet? It’s really quite restrictive but very effective.
There are some great online forums which are helpful. There is an IBS section on Healthunlocked (its run by the IBS Network).
There are some help vids on YouTube especially for Low Fodmap.
I’ve had IBS for 18 years. It’s a case of trial and error as symptoms vary for different people. I find peppermint tea good (takes some getting used to but a squeeze of lemon helps make it taste nicer), Colpermin capsules sometimes help.
Many people swear by probiotics but I haven’t yet took up the courage to try.
