now dd3 appears to have heat rashes

well some swear by Aloe Vera gel but if she gets eczema (can't remember if your dd3 does!), it might be better not to use it. If she doesn't, perhaps try a little patch of skin to see if it helps. It's lovely and cooling.

My ds4 has just got them too and I was told to put calamine lotion on it.

she does have eczema as well. all of my girls do.

will higher SPF help at all? not sure if its heat or sunlight that doing it.

I think the heat does it misdee (dd and ds get it too) - I also wonder whether their thick moisturising creams make them have hotter skin iyswim. If you have a fan, I find putting that on for a bit and letting them run around naked sorts it out. I have used Aloe Vera gel on my two but only dd likes it on her skin.
