Three full mooncups in an hour

That's it really. I take medication for heavy periods which causes clotting but it has never been this heavy. Big clots. As I said I have filled my mooncup three times. Should I worry? I'm so used to heavy periods I have lost sight of what is normal.

What does your mooncup hold? Mine is 12ml, so if you've lost approx 36ml in 1 hour, I would monitor for the next hour and if it stays at that rate I would go to my nearest walk in or urgent care.

I have heavy periods too and often lose more for the first hour or two of the day. Simple gravity, Ive been laid down all night and the blood pools in the cervix so appears to be more.

I'm not sure of size. Yesterday morning was the same so you may have a good point!

I'm in bed. I've three baths this morning due to the flooding and I ruin more clothes so I am on a towel feeling sorry for myself.

Tbh I’d go to urgent care, that’s a lot of blood to lose.

The medical advice is that if you're burning through a pad or tampon every hour you need to see a doctor. I assume three mooncups is the same amount or more?

I would seek medical attention. More than a pad or super tampon an hour is extremely worrying. A mooncup is bigger than a super tampon so you definitely qualify as bleeding too much.

Thanks all. It has slowed down now but I do have some pain which is unusual for me. I will call the OOH number and see what they advise. I can't drive there; my car is parked a few streets away. I will have to call someone to take me I think.

I think that is too much. In my experience a moon cup holds quite a lot more than a super tampon.
