Anyone's child successfully gone swimming with a "Protectacast"?

ds has broken his wrist. We usually go swimming 3 x a week. (and have spent a fortune joining a local health club!) Hospital says on no account can he get his cast wet (obviously). The protectacast website says it can be used in the swimming pool - and there are a lot of god cpomments on the site - but has anyone any experience?

I just cannot remember who haggis but someone on here mentioned using this I am sure. I had never heard of such a thing, but it sounds a great solution.

Can you ask the hospital to give him a fibreglass cast? You can swim in those.

Marina - I vaguely remember seeing something here - I may just get him one anyway and chance it (but am terrified it would fail and he'll get soaked!)
Sweety - Didn't know about that. They never offered it.
