Peeing to much at night

For about 10 months now I've always woken up during the night and had to pee. I just put it down to drinking a glass of water before bed.
Anyway ..

I've had issues with a recurring UTI that comes and goes, I was treated for an infection back in August but went back in October as it still felt like the infection was there

I finally had enough and saw my gp and told him my symptoms and he mentioned interstitial cystitis , but he won't know anything until my blood test and urine sample comes back .
I may have to see a uroligist.

But the last 2 nights I've had to pee 3 times during the night !, and it's not like I'm peeing a tiny amount it's like a normal wee each time
How on earth can I produce so much at night....

Are you female or male, if male could be a prostate problem
If female maybe just too much liquid during the day or coffee

Cookie are you female ? Are you in your forties ? Do you sleep well at night or find it difficult to rest properly ?

You might asked to get your blood sugar checked.

Sorry i cant help you get your results quicker. But i can sympathise. I've woken 2-5times to pee every night for 11 years now. Its tiring. I do have diabetes but even pee when my blood sugars are great. 11 years on i still have no answers but can feel youre exhaustion and sympathise.

I'd be asking for a diabetes test. When your insulin production is not enough to balance blood sugar, the body gets rid of it through urination instead.

Also re the recurring UTI, the excess sugar can cause yeast issues such as thrush etc which could possibly explain this symptom also.

I had this trouble too and saw a really good urologist. Basically I was told to have a drink and a wee every three hours so that the bladder never becomes too full and to stop drinking in the evening by 7pm. Also, apparently very hot or very cold drinks go through you quicker (who knew?!).

Thanks everyone , I also have a sharp stabbing pain literally where my bladder is located plus off to the left side ... Ughhhhh .

Seeing the gp Wednesday about my bloods and stuff and having a ultrasound on 1st March .

I am female . I hope it's not diabetes , I am a sweet lover 😓.

Could it be anxiety about the UTI that is making you sleep less deeply?
Its natural to have a full bladder through the night and if you are sleeping less soundly than usual it could be that you are noticing the fullness of your bladder and having to get up to empty it... rather than actively being woken by it if you see what I mean?

Could be endometriosis. You don’t have to have the rest of the symptoms for it to be and unfortunately it doesn’t show up on unreasoned scans.
