Just wondering if anyone has had a reaction to the pneumococcal adult vaccine? I’m 34 and got the jab nearly 48 hours ago.

My arm is sooooo sore I can’t bear to touch it loft it or even use it it’s red and hot.

I had it several years ago. I had it around lunch time, was fine all day, went to bed and fell asleep. DH got into bed and it felt like he'd jumped full force on top of my arm and broken it.
I didn't sleep though the night and felt fluey for a few days after. Was off work I felt so rough. GP said that they would not offer it again as it was one of the ones that would give a more severe reaction if I did have it again. .
Painkillers and time I think. If it gets really bad call OOHs.

My sympathy to you, it is very unpleasant.

Thanks for replying it’s awful isn’t it. I might ring them tomorrow so they can pop it on my notes. I’m feeling quite shivery and achy too so will prob just dose up and go to bed 😴

Yes that does sound familiar although I don't recall any redness.
Poor you, hope you recover soon.

Google yellow card, you can record your experience for future data on vaccine safety, efficacy and adverse effects.

I had that last year. Arm ached like a bastard for days and I felt like I was on the verge of getting ‘flu. Then I got better and promptly forgot all about it. It will pass, OP.
