Why can't I ever be ill all by myself??

Whenever I am ill, my dh always has to be more ill than me. Right now I have a cold and a temperature. But my dh has a higher temperature than me!! So guess who is up with the dc to get them ready for school???

I wouldn't mind, but this happens every single time...

Sound familiar anyone?

yes definately

But my problem is that i will feel really ill for a couple of days and not feel up to doing anything I just soldier on getting no sympathy.

Then my partner feels ill a day later and does the dying fly act,and dissapears off to bed for two days.

When my DS was 11 weeks both DH and I had a sickness bug. DH came home from work and took to bed (the spare bedroom with door shut). We were both very sick but I still had to feed/change/look after DS - and no acknowledgement from DH!! (just think he was p**d off that I was too unwell to play nurse for him).

Yes, just a minute ago, dh said, "when you go outside with ds, just go to my car please and fetch the mobile phones - I need to ring my clients to cancel appointments for today". I did so, along with paracetamol and water. He just looked feeble at me. Ok so he is "iller" than me, but that doesn't help. I want a rest! What about my temperature?!

I actually quite enjoy being ill and taking to my bed given the chance...just for the rest.
