Dizziness?

Hi Everyone,

I have been feeling dizzy on and off for months, in varying degree's of severity but have recently moved house, had a very poorly husband and just haven't found the time to address the matter, and generally speaking, have managed to get by on the day to day, I just try and have sugary things and stand up slowly and take the stairs steady.

However, the last few days it has vamped up it's intensity and I feel ILL! I am not one to rush to any extreme medical services but I am worried at how out of sorts I feel, I am worried to carry my daughter down the stairs in case I pass out, even typing this up is making me feel sick haha

I've rung my GP who have said that they only have phone appointments for tomorrow and that it would be a couple of days until I can see someone. Would it be dramatic to go to a&e or a walk in centre with my symptoms this evening, once my husband is home? I'm worried dizziness seems like a feeble recent to seek out urgent care?

I just want to get hold of some medicine as soon as possible so I can get this dizziness under control. Is it something a pharmacist could help with?

Thanking you all in advance.

I have had various kinds of dizziness and know how it feels. There are different kinds and can be different causes. For example I get vertigo when I've had a virus. I also get dizzy when I get up, these are different.
I doubt a pharmacist would help.
I would go with the phone appointment. If the GP you speak to thinks it's urgent they will get you in, probably check blood pressure and your balance.
