Help,reaction or cold sore, lips swelling fast..

Help, a couple minutes ago my lip started to tingle and now it’s swollen and still growing. I have never had a cold sore so not sure if they spring up this fast? Or could it be a reaction, I have just eaten my dinner which contained a few things that I don’t normally eat (peppers). I have a big white lump that looks like a hive and it feels really hot. Any ideas?

Doesn’t sound like a cold sore they don’t come up that fast in my experience. I’d say allergy.

I have taken a antihistamine to see if it helps, I look like I. Have been punched in the mouth.

And it worked. Seems I am allergic to peppers.

I had that once.
Came up like a big lump inside my upper lip on one side within about five mins of eating a packet of specially selected cheddar and red onion flavoured crisps.
Turns out it was the red onion flavouring and colouring additive that did it

It went down pretty quickly after taking antihistamines, I don’t usually eat peppers as I don’t really like them, thought I would try them on my pizza for the first time in years, I’m guessing that’s what it was as everything else on the pizza was things I eat all the time. I shall avoid them from now on.
