Scaly patch on areola

Afternoon Smile my left breast has been itchy for a couple of weeks around the nipple/areola, I've had that on occasion before so not really concerned. This morning in the shower I felt a rough patch on the areola and there is a small red shiny, scaly patch there. Worth bothering the GP about? Thanks

Yes, skin changes need checking out. It’s most likely nothing to worry about though.

Yes, you should go. There is a very rare breast cancer - paget’s disease That can present like this. So best to get it checked.
