Watery sore outer eye

the outside corner of one of my eyes is constantly leaking and it’s developed a sore red patch there which is irritated. My eyes have sort of hooded lids if that might make a difference. Does anyone know of this or how to fix it? Very minor but bothersome. Thanks

How long has it been like this? I had this exact thing a couple of weeks ago (I also have hooded eyelids but don't think it had a connection). Sore, very itchy with a red patch and constantly streaming. It turned into a minor stye 4 or 5 days later.

It’s been several weeks but low level so no stye.

Are you using any kind of creams near it? I had a watery eye, just the one, and eventually discovered it was my cream. Strangely enough it only affected one eye.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but a lot of eye watering is due to dryness! There are 2 types of tears, one that keep the eye nice and moist and then other "reflex tears" which flow when the eye is irritated.

Get some dry eye drops from the chemist and use frequently. Theoloz Duo is very good for different types of dryness as is Hycosan. If its no better in a few days, I'd get an optometrist to have a look.
