How much time off work for a chest infection?

I developed a chest infection on sunday. I've had several over the last yr, prolly because of my newly diagnosed asthma.
How much time off work is usual for a chest infection? This one is unusually severe. Feverish for 4 days. V tired today. Now feeling cold again, despite the heating being on, as i went out to the pharmacy earlier and it's clearly too much for me.
I always feel guilty having time off work, especially as i get these so often, so what is normal? 3 days? 5 days? More?
My job is desk based but complex and i wouldn't be able to do it the way i feel rightnow.

There is no normal I don’t think.

If I’m ill I stay off on the days I actually don’t think I could do the job. So if I could do it but would feel rotten, I’d go in (personally).

5 days is a lot of sick leave.
