Low Blood Pressure?

I started a thread recently about fainting as it had happened to me for the first time since being a teenager.
I'm currently off work with symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, blurred vision, etc. Had bloods taken and results were normal.
The only thing the GP found was that my blood pressure was low.

It's been suggested that I may be suffering from anxiety, exhaustion or depression and I have been carefully considering whether this may be the case.
However, i've recently stopped smoking and I wonder whether this may have caused my blood pressure to become low again and that this could be the cause of all my symptoms. Any ideas?

Should add - have been to the optician to check my eyes and found I do need glasses for reading and close up work.
I'm considering buying a blood pressure monitor to use at home so I can check regularly...
But maybe I am just burnt out?

Well I am not a doctor but I had a huge fall in my bp nine years ago.....it was because a nasty lump in my stomach had burst and blood was leaking out. I do not want to be alarmist but repeated fainting and low bp needs to be investigated. Stopping smoking is good but I would doubt it is the immediate cause...get back to your gp asap...it is probably nothing serious but taking a blood sample won't tell the whole story...
