Wisdom teeth extraction

Having 2 of my wisdom teeth taken out by a dental surgeon today and I'm really nervous.

What should I expect? Haven't been given any info on if I need to fast before as I think it must be under anaesthetic as I was just told to bring someone with me.

What can I eat or drink after? I know they will tell me there but want to be prepared.

I would’ve thought you would know if it’s under GA. I had 2 of mine done awake and 2 under GA. everyone has a difference experience on here. Some people had no issues at all. For me, they use an injection to numb and then take the tooth out. Mine was stuck and twisted roots so that wasn’t very nice. Had a couple of stitches in as they had to cut the gum. They gave me something which meant I wasn’t allowed to drive after which is possibly why they said don’t go on your own?

Afterwards my mouth was very sore, swollen cheek. Ate soup do a couple of days. I gargled with salt water to prevent infection aswell.

When I had them out under GA I had no issues afterwards. Couldn’t eat on that side for a day or two.
