Swollen Lymph Nodes...?

Hi All,

About a year ago I discovered a tender lump in groin area... Some months later I noticed left side ribs have become slightly, yet noticeably, 'bigger' than right. Then couple of months later I discover a lump in the left groin area too and lump in my armpit (latter shows up on US scan to be 2 swollen lymph nodes as she referred me to breast clinic for them and that's what they said).
I know I have to go back to GP, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar symptoms?

I have an appointment tomorrow regarding enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, armpit and groin. I had a blood test a couple of weeks back which were normal so the doctor wasn't worried about them but as they are still enlarged, I'm going back to double check as googling it has worried me.

Have they given you any insight as to why yours are swollen?

Thanks for your reply Panicky.

Tbh the GP said she can't feel anything when I told her about the initial one in the groin. But when I returned on another visit (almost a year later) for the ones in the armpit she immediately referred me to the breast clinic. They could just see two swollen lymph nodes but nothing suspicious.

I have to go back to the GP and hope she'll actually take notice of what I said previously in light of what the ultrasound showed in the armpit... They are tender when touched, I just want to understand why they've appeared!

Have you been referred to a specialist?
Let me know how things go if you don't mind... I'm glad your bloods came back normal and hope things continue to look good for you.Flowers

I saw the doctor this morning (had to rebook) and she didn't seem worried about them at all. She said that they were slightly enlarged but nothing significant. She said as my full blood count was normal and I'm not unwell, to give it a couple of weeks and if they're still there, go back. I'm definitely less worried now. She said that the lymph nodes are very sensitive and swell for all sorts of reasons so not to worry Smile

Thanks again for your message Panicky, really appreciate your update. I think I'll visit gp to at least get bloods done (not looking forward to it, as like many they often make you feel like you've wasted their time!)
I hope all continues to go well for you, tkc Flowers
