Urinary Incontinance - Help!

Well after putting up with it for years alone, not even telling DH, I finally went to the doctors today.

We talked through all my symptoms and she gave me a physical exam. Then she diagnosed me with an overactive bladder, urge incontinance, prolapsed bladder and bowel and said I also have urinary retention.

She has referred me for a scan of my bladder and some physiotherapist to help build up my pelvic floor which is basically shot.

I'm not quite sure what to do with all this info. Doctor said there is medication I can take but as my blood pressure was high today she couldn't. I'm due to gave it tested again in a few days. I guess I'll wait and see what they say after my scan.

I was just wondering if anyone else suffered from these sort of problems who might be able to help me with some coping techniques.

Well done for going to the docs - first step to recovery. I don't know about treatments for overactive bladder but I do know (having a bladder prolapse) that specialist physio can help enormously. Also google kegel exercises. Good luck!
