Random spot outbreaks

My acne is under control with a prescription cream. Every few months (say 6 months) I get a breakout though, at the moment I have two painful spots sitting under my skin, I’m taking ibuprofen for the pain! They clear up and my skin is fine again for months.

Does anyone else get these or know why this happens?

Yes 🙁. I've had bad acne from been young and I'm now 34 and I still get it, aswell as having bad scaring. I was prescribed roaccatane when I was 15 too. I started having regular microdermabrasion and I felt like I had new skin. (so much so I went to qualify as a therapist) I also stopped for a few months and again broke out. And sounds silly but drinking lots of water really helped too. Have you sat with wrapped ice cubes on them? This also helped my nasty spots. Hope they go soon x

Thanks, I’ve tried the ice cubes today, upped my water and had smoked salmon and avocado as they are apparently good for skin!

So tender and annoying, put concealer on them and where the cream dries them out, the skin goes all flaky.

Wonder why I get a sudden breakout? Stress? Hormones?

I went to the GP and got a course of antibiotics as one of my spots has turned into a boil! He mentioned having swabs done and diabetes testing next time I get one!
