I have really numb toes and finger tips. My joints are like a 70 year olds when I wake up (Im 38 on Monday).

My toes have been really numb and swollen today to the point where it has made me get out of bed and come and get an answer.

I was getting this for months earlier in my pregnancy (age 37) and a midwife sugested calcium deficiency. Haven't drunk much milk for years but bought some banana flavour stuff and used half the recommended amount, and I have a bit of cheese each day, and it's made a huge difference. I'm assuming you're not pregnant, but it might be worth looking at your diet if it's something as easily fixed.

Thanks for that. Not pregnant but do have a 5 month old and this has been going on for about a year...any other suggestions please???

Sounds like a circulation problem to me. Go get check at the docs just to be on the safe side.

could it be reynauds syndrome here

Taylormama · 29/04/2007 09:01

i had numb toes when i hurt my back - something to do with nerve endings - would deffo speak to your GP just to put your mind at rest

SweetyDarling · 29/04/2007 09:58

Maybe its circulation, how swollen?

MoreSpamThanGlam · 29/04/2007 14:48

Not that bad (swollen) but today its just constant numbness in my right 2 middle toes, like I have been to the dentist and had my toes numbed

Could it be carpel tunnel syndrome?
Or is that just wrists?

Hillls · 29/04/2007 14:55

Numb or pins and needles in toes and hands is a simptom of not eating enough.

Overrun · 29/04/2007 15:01

I imagine if it was circulatory you might have discolouration in the toes, ie purple in colour rather than normal skin tone

You could keep guessing at all the things it could be. You really should get checked with your GP just to be sure.
