I have put on 3 stone in about 3 months and i don't have a clue y????

A months after i had DS i went back to my origanal weight 10st and size 12 and stayed at that for ages. I had a coil fitted and bled constantley for 6 weeks the doctor said no problem just happens somtimes, now i don't have regular periods at all i bleed for a few days lightly every 2 weeks or there abouts. But i have put on loads of weight i eat the same as always, always exersising. I have gone up to 13 stone and a size 16 im feeling really i am thinking about having my coil removed but dp is allirgic to latex so i have to have somthing to stop getting pregs

Is it a reaction to the coil?If having it removed don't have the injection.I had it and within 3months I went from size 12 to size 20 and kept on gaining weight also triggered a lot of other health probs.

Isn't weightgain one of the symptoms of under-active thyroid? I would have thought that such rapid weight-gain would be worth mentioning to dr.
