Both children having nose bleeds

My 7yo has had nose bleeds ever few days for the past 3-4 weeks. They last for a few minutes and there are no other symptoms.
Now my 2yo has started with them same.

I mentioned to a dr who said it was probably a result of picking his nose Hmm but now it's both of them I'm wondering if nose bleeds can be the result of a virus/infection.

Anyone have any ideas? Is it worth booking a specific dr appt for this?

Some bacterial infections can cause nose bleeds like this. There are nasal antibiotic creaMs available. The one I've used is mupirocin. I would go to GP. Good luck!

Both my children have had to have their noses cauterised due to constant nose bleeds...my daughter's have recently started up again. When we saw the consultant at the ENT clinic, he said that vessels close to the surface in the nostrils can be aggravated by many things - one of which being colds. Constant wiping of noses can burst the vessels. If they persist, ask to be referred to the ENT department as getting it cauterised is a quick and painless procedure Smile
