Mirena Coil? Anyone else?

I’ve had the coil for 3 years now and I’ve been liking it.
I used to have awful periods and wanted a contraceptive which worked well for me, doc recommended this!

It took a while for my periods to settle and eventually I started to get a normal period every month. About 6 months ago, they started to get lighter and lighter until they stopped. I’ve now been about 3 months without.

Recently, I’ve been cramping and my boobs have gotten bigger. I was then greeted by what looked like the start of my period and had slight blood on the tissue when I went to loo in the morning. No need for a tampon or pad. This lasted around 5 days.

The bleeding has stopped, and I’m not sure if it was just the beginning of what is going to be a period, but I’m still getting slight cramps and almost like sharp pains in my abdomen and mainly left hip.

I’m for some reason only assuming it’s my coil. Other that that I feel fine. No bloating really or anything like that.

A little while ago I also managed to get a yeast infection. The burning pain when having sex was awful and to this day still worry that when we’re about to have sex, it’s gonna burn.

I have a feeling it could be my mind, but I feel sometimes I’m also having pain during sex. When we’re leading up to it, I feel I worry a little that it’s gonna be uncomfortable for me, and I tense up, which probably makes things worse, yet when we get going and I relax, I’m able to enjoy it and experience no discomfort.

I’m a major worrier and always tend to google and panic when I get weird symptoms. I’m also convinced I have IBS too, as I can wake in the morning and have an urgency to go and will also have quite a definitive stomach ache.

Once I go the loo, I feel good, will get ready for work and occasionally feel the need to go again. I’ve also found that (maybe depending on what I eat) I have days where I’m really gassy. And sometimes a bout of worry or stress and make my stomach ‘flare up’ instantly and I’ll need to go and have stomach aches!

This has just turned into an unloading, and I know no one here is really a doctor, but do you think my coil could be causing these issues? Or IBS? Or both 🙄

I think you need to go for a check up, it could be any one of a number of things!
