Hi guys just looking for some advice i have had a smear in december 17 rec a letter to say abnomal cells was booked for a coloscopy last week (4 days ago) when i went they done coloscopy and was told i had cn3 😟 recevied leetz there and then found the whole experiemce very frightning as the nurse told me she could do the leetz then said she couldnt as she can only go left to right and mine needed to be up and down and she needed a doctor eventually she got a doctor to do it and took biopsy said i will be waiting 2 to 4 weeks for result terrified she will call in two weeks as she said if its red flagged i will get a call in two weeks when they finshed leetz i asked doctor if she got it all and she just said they done all they could do today also in the last day discharge has turned blackish has this happened to anyone else im litterally losing my mind camt eat or sleep 😟😟😟

Hi, this happened to me, over 10 years ago now. I got a call back to say they hadn't managed to get clear margins from the lletz treatment so had to go back for a cone biopsy, done under general anaesthetic. The cone biopsy was all clear and actually showed they had got everything with the lletz. I then had 6 monthly colonoscopys for about 3 years and annual for the next 7 years. That check up structure might have changed now that they test for hpv. I haven't had any problems since that initial diagnosis.

As for the discharge, that is normal. The lletz treatment cauterises the cells. Go back if it seems very watery or smelly. They should have given you a leaflet about what to expect.

Hi they did give me a leaflet but mostly just dos and donts for the next couple of weekd never said anything thing to me to do witj black discharge just told me to take painkillers of sore. Im so stressed by it all can hardly eat or sleep im out of my mimd with worry and praying they dont ring me in two weeks. They didnt check for hpv bit they made me an appoinmemt for 6 months time for another smear and hpv. All sorts are going through my mind and googling non stop which is not helping at all i feel like im having an nervous breakdown with the worry of it. Nurse and doctor harldy said anything to when i was getting it done
