Pelvic Inflammatory disease

Anyone with first hand experience with PID? My sis has been suffering with this since new years with two hospital admissions. Just wondered if anybody who had been through PID could tell me a bit about how long it lasted, any development of chronic symptoms etc? Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hi Sabby. I had PID after complications with the coil. I was on very strong antibiotics (6 times a day, no exposure to sunlight). Took a while to heal with some scarring that healed after a few years. Best wishes to your sister xx
