Any knowledge of Vit D causing tinnitus and magnesium during it?

I have had tinnitus for a year, although it did clear up for a brief period. I've also been taking vit d for the same time, maybe a few months longer. I've read that vitamin d could cause tinnitus and that magnesium may help.

My b12 is 200 ish and ferritin 30 something. Both above nhs standards. What can I do to help cure it? MRI is soon. Thanks.

Your B12 is actually low enough for you to be a candidate for injections and investigations for pernicious anaemia and our ferritin is so low that you are likely to be very symptomatic from that as well.

Being in the reference range is one thing. Being in the right place in the reference range is another matter entirely.

These need investigating without delay.

Thank you so much. I've got some proper iron tablets from the pharmacy and some b12. The pharmacist said to give them 3 months and then get retested.

Don't start b12 until you are investigated properly as it really skews the results and you won't get to the bottom of whether you have pernicious anaemia! Good to take the iron though.
