Ill / not ill

Bit of a weird one.

My DD (5) has looked ill for 2 weeks. Pale skin, dark eyes, seems tired a lot, bit lethargic... I keep expecting her to come down with something but she hasn't. She's sleeping well.

I'm not the worrying type, but she's not looking any better. I can't take her to the doctors without any proper symptoms (can I?).

Anyone with any advice?

I'd go tho the GP. She could have a number of things that give those symptoms (yes, they are proper) and not "come down" with anything (i.e. flu, cold, whatever).

Only they can run tests and assess if there's a cause for concern or not.

Yep, go to GP. You know your child best.

Yes I'd go to the GP for this, those are symptoms in themselves. They can at least do basic tests. Could be a lot of things but my friend has had anemia since childhood and symptoms were similar.

Thank you. That's really helpful :)

Hadn't thought about things like anaemia. My mum just keeps saying "oh well she uses up a lot of energy, she's bound to be tired" so I thought i was being a bit OTT.

Thanks again
