Pain after mole removal

Hi all

I had a mole removed last month that came back as a malignant melanoma, thankfully it was very thin so treatment was to have additional skin taken away.

This happened Monday, they took away roughly the size of a £2 coin ( 4mm deep) and due to the size didn’t stitch it so it’s been left open.

It was dressed and had a compression bandage put on. I was advised to change dressing in 2 days, but as I could see there was a lot of blood ( dressing soaked) I changed it on Tuesday.

I’ve been in agony on and off since Sad, it’s like my leg goes into spasm and when it’s bad I struggle to weight bear.

Even the skin inches away from the incision is sore, best described as a feeling of sun burn?!

The incision is on my shin and I’ve been elevating it as much a possible

Im wondering at what point should I be having it looked at? Any idea?
