Painful mole

Fragile so please be gentle with me.
I have a mole which I've noticed tonight and last night is a bit sore. I will probably end up getting it checked as I worry a lot but is it a sign of being cancerous?
Thanks

How do you know it's a mole and not a cut with scabby bits?

goose1964 · 17/01/2018 20:56

It's far more likely that it's rubbed on your clothes, but get it checked asap, I've had a couple checked but my GP has told me he'd rather look at a hundred with no issues than e not ask about one that was cancerous. Even if it is most coin cancers aren't aggressive, my MiL had one a few years ago it was removed and that was that no chemo or anything.

Definitely get it checked, but it's probably nothing. I sometimes have a sore mole caused by a small spot or cut which just happens to be right next to the mole - not noticeable at first, but after a day or so I can see what is temporarily causing it to be sore.

It looks like a mole but one of those sticky out ones if you know what I mean
