Bleeding two weeks after last period

I’ve not experienced anything like this before. I’ve been regular since my periods settled after having my 2 year old and have been approx every 28 days for well over a year. They’ve shortened in duration from 7 days to 5 days too.

Last month my cycle was 25 days so shorter than usual and today I’ve started bleeding on cycle day 16. Fresh but thin red blood. I’m feeling really anxious about it.

Does anyone have any advice? Do I need to see a doctor?

peri menopause?

Thanks for you post.

I’m only 31 so it would be mega early if it was.

I thought of peri menopause also. Congratulations to winning two days back though. I didn't call a doctor, I assumed it was a normal thing. But you could always Google some pages and read up on the topic, compare symptoms, and then decide whether to call someone or not.

Ahh yes that is young.... unless your mum went through menopause young then it’s very possible. Personally I’d wait and see if early bleeding happened again and then make an appt with the GP.

Thank you, your replies have helped me to feel much calmer.

I’m not used to having health ailments and I tend to catastrophise when I do have anything.

My mum was in her late 40s when she started to notice menopause symptoms, same for my maternal grandmother. I’ll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
