Uterine prolapse questions

Nikitasol · 15/01/2018 16:28

I'm due to have a uterine prolapse operation in the spring and I'm really worried about it.

I'm 43 and a self employed single mum and I'm scared it's going to tip us over into poverty as the consultant has said I need to be off work for 8 weeks when I won't be earning anything.

Does anyone have any advice or experience of this operation who can tell me how long it took to recover?

Also did the operation work for you? I'm too young to retire and would like to feel like I could have relationships and sex again in the not too distant future!

Sorry to hear this Nikki Sad

I've had prolapse surgery and recovery can be slow. Have you anyone that can help especially in the first couple of weeks?

Also, there's a webchat here, especially about prolapses on Jan 23rd, here's the link if you want to post any questions?

Thanks for letting me know. That's really helpful. Sorry to hear recovery was slow. Are you ok now? I'm really worried about it.

Have you checked to see if you are eligible for employment and support allowance, it's not a massive amount but better than nothing.

I've not heard of it. I'll check. Thank you.

I can't get the link to work. Could you resend it? Would appreciate it
