gall stones

just had my gall bladder scan today and there's loads
Suppose it's time to sort myself out of this rut diet/mood wise, stop comfort eating (funny I eat health during day jusf cant stop picking in evenings)and lose my baby +++ weight.
Anyway has anyone had gall stones and what treatment did they have.
I've to see my G.P in week to decide treatment but I sort of want some info from first hand experiences.
Would google but last time did that tkought I had cancer

lol yes betty, thats for sure. I don't think the five, or fifty Fs as the list seem to be growing are written in stone. When i mentioned to my doctor he just laughed at me. Thats ok, he was lovely, hes retired now due to ill health but he knew i was neurotic but never patronised me. Would even phone me at home if i got myself in a state, i had PND on top of my gall stones, i was a mess

pudding, go to your doctors and request an ultrasound, gall stones can give intermittent trouble especially if they move around, well they are bound to, so you could go years without an attack, i think i had mine for about 10 years as i had mild symptoms for a long time with elevated liver enzymes on a blood test. You don't want to end up in the state i was in, i was in pretty much constant pain as my gall bladder became inflammed and infected and i promise you, you do not want to go there, childbirth is a peice of piss compared to that!

Thanks lucyellensmum, I guess you're right, its just such a pain (pardon the pun!) trying to get an appointment at my GPs! But I will go do it and see what they say!
