Anyone Diagnosed with CFS after Pregnancy?

Hi All,

I hope someone may be able to help me.

I am currently undergoing numerous blood tests for really severe fatigue. Prior to giving birth to my son two years ago I was a picture of health, as soon as I was pregnant I developed severe sinus problems, allergies and rhinitis. My sinus issues have never gone away and I have slowly crashed and burned with fatigue two years later. Currently I am signed off work due to severe fatigue and lack of concentration/coordination. Everything is pointing towards CFS/M.E as I am showing numerous symptoms, however, I then feel like I'm imagining it as I used to be so 'on it'. I just wondered if any other mums have been diagnosed with CFS/M.E post birth and how long it took them to get diagnosed?

Thanks,
Charlotte

Hi Charlotte- just wondering if you got any answers?

gottaslowdown · 28/05/2018 12:25

Me too!

Were you @gottaslowdown ? Everything points to it's what's wrong with me, problems started 5 years ago post-birth!

I meant I was wondering too. I know people who this happened to.

If you read through lots of ME/CFS stuff online, you'll find that triggers were often a virus, trauma, pregnancy, operation etc. They're still researching what exactly happens to trigger the CFS state and what exactly it is. I.e. How to re-set the body back to healthy. I hope people don't have to wait too long for the answers. It destroys lives.

Sorry whogivesafeck to hear that. Flowers Have a look at Dr Myhill online. She talks lots of sense about how to start healing the body. Doesn't work for everyone, but seems to have a high success rate. Good luck!

What else have they tested? Wouldn't be surprised if they've missed something.

Vitamin D, B12, folate, full thyroid panel, full iron panel, cortisol etc etc?

whogivesafeck · 28/05/2018 15:12

I had everything tested last year - only thing it showed was slight vitamin d deficiency and slightly elevated liver values (with no obvious cause). Everything else fine.

Thanks @gottaslowdown - will have a look!

Hi everyone!

Did some of you get further Informations about your healthy problems? Is/was it CFS/ME?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards
