Tender breasts all month long

In the last 6-12 months I've experienced sore & swollen breasts as a premenstrual symptom, never having really done before

Last two months I seem to have the same symptoms the whole month! Sore/tender on both sides, no lumps but that premenstrual 'thicker' feeling on both sides.

I'm definitely not pregnant! 40 years old so could it be hormonal / perimenopause?! My cycles are all over the place (more, rather than less frequent) but I'd put it down to my copper coil which has always given me a short cycle.

Any experience, and anything I can do about it or is it just a sign of hormonal upheaval to come?

Well standard disclaimer of see gp if worried but high strength evening primrose oil will help. You need a good strength gla level. I use Tesco EPO and Starflower oil, £3.50 for 30 capsules and normally 3-for-2. It takes a month or so to work though. It’s really helped me.

I had really sore breasts all the time. No lumps bumps or other obvious changes.

Dr told me to try evening primrose oil and amazingly it has worked 100%! Couldn't believe it
