Is there a weird bug going around with these symptoms?

Started feeling rough yesterday, aching arms, feeling tired, stomach cramps but no d&v, been off food for a few days, slept all night, slept half of the morning, took dd swimming and fancied a few chips from MCDonalds, felt a bit rough again after, came home, fell asleep, woke up just now and had to run to the loo (bottom end), feeling ok again now other than feeling a bit drained. Meant to be going out tonight on a date, already cancelled once (last night) so don’t want to cancel again. Doesn’t feel like a stomach bug as no vomiting, no fever, just feel tired and achy and not hungry.

Yep, sounds similar to what our household has had. I had nausea but no vomiting and all the other symptoms you've described. Get well soon Thanks

Thank you Sugar it’s frustrating because I don’t feel really ill, just tired. I think dd may have had it last week but I thought she was making it up as she didn’t really have any visible symptoms, just loss of apitite and not much energy, just put it down to her being a grumpy teenager and not wanting to take part in family activities.

Yes, I thought it was my extremely gentle run that had given me leg cramps and that I must be far less fit than I thought! Then it was achey muscles all over, then everyone else got it too. I wondered if it was HF&M as we've all had mouth ulcers with it, but no temperature, just feeling knackered and achey.

I posted about this weird diarrhea bug earlier in the week but got no responses. If it's like us, the diarrhea and cramps may or may not come back every day or two over the next 5 days to week. We have all had it but with varyi g degrees of recurrence if the diarrhea. None if us has been sick at all, but yes, but achey, no energy.

I did vaguely wonder if it might be a very very mild dose of the flu as we are all innoculated this year?

Yes! Achy, so so tired, no appetite, feeling sick, temperature. I’m on Day 4 and feeling a little better - back in work today. And the kids are coming down with it now aaaahhhhhh!

katseyes7 · 04/01/2018 16:37

Yes, l had this over Christmas. General flu symptoms, nausea, loss of appetite and stomach pains. Took about a week to get back to normal.

cathyandclare · 04/01/2018 16:45

YES! I had exactly what you described, it was horrid. I just felt nauseous but the DC were both sick too. Bizarrely my knee swelled up as well, no trauma, but that settled with the rest of the symptoms.
Get well soon Flowers

Laura that’s exactly what it felt like, I thought I had over done it at the gym, my stomach muscles hurt and my arms and legs, it’s only this afternoon that the diarrhoea came and I have only been once. I’m trying to decide wether to take Imodium or not. It’s odd as I don’t feel ill enough to stay in bed or even say I’m ill, a lot of people seem to have full blown flu but I don’t feel too bad, just not right.

The shits were the grand finale for me (TMI sorry) so maybe leave the Imodium and let whatever evil virus this is leave your system...

Lovemusic33 · 04/01/2018 17:05

Laura I do feel better after the explosion Grin ,I am still going out tonight as I feel fine in myself, i won’t take the Imodium unless I’m still running to the loo half an hour before my date, I’m hoping it is the tail end of it as I have been feeling tired and achy for a few days (stomach cramps started yesterday).

Ive had this since tuesday afternoon. Not pleasant at all. Feel very tired and cannot count how many times been on toilet.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 04/01/2018 21:42

I had that too, although no nausea. It went away after about a week.

Lovemusic33 · 06/01/2018 15:58

I’m still not feeling right, haven’t been running to the loo, I have a pain under my rib (right hand side), still not much of an apitite and I feel exhausted, slept well last night and now I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. Was meant to be doing park run this morning but decided it was best not too.
