Bit worried, just taken my dd to docs as she has been bleeding when she wees.
I thought she was constipated and had a little tear, but doc said it is in her urine. Anyone experienced this with a little one? Looked it up on web and all sounds quite serious with children?

It sounds like a uti, does she have a temp or any other symptoms? She will need treated with antibiotics if it is a uti and she will need a scan in the future to check her kidneys.

Try and not worry raybee. Before the age of 3 it can be due possibly to kidney problems(but not necessarily). Your dd will be given antibiotics for 10 days. I don't think she will be investigated further unless the infection reoccurs.
Some children are more prone to UTI's and it need not be something more serious. Make sure she drinks lots of water and doesn't hold in her wees. Hope she is better soon.

A friend of mine has a niece who had recurrent pain and blood in her urine. She was hospitalised and had various tests. It turned out that she avoided weeing at schoool all day (she was 5 or 7) because she hated the school loos. So by not weeing she got an infection/or problem/whatever you want to call it. Peeing regularly sorted it out. Good luck.
