my ds has just turned 2 and for the last week or so has had real trouble doing a number 2
he really really strains and he is only marking his nappy i saw the health visitor yesterday and she said to give him more fibre so he has lots of rasins and apricots and diluted orange juice
the thing is when i got him out the bath tonight i had him laid across my lap and lifted his legs to dry his bum and poo was coming out so it seems as if he is blocked up?
and ideas or advice would be great sorry for the long post and TMI!

My ds (6) stands on the toilet seat and squats down when he is a little constipated. He figured it out on his own....but it's really effective.

My DS (4 months) has been suffering from constipation for a few weeks. Eats loads of fruit and drinks lots of fluids but nothing seems to help.

When I know he is trying (sometimes screams cause it hurts him) I lay him down and take his nappy off, then lift his knees towards his tummy. Seems to help a bit!

Should be 14 months

Been there. Dd, 3 in a month, has had trouble doing her poo for a year. Califig works quite well (it takes around a week to start working).
