Hi all, had injection done yesterday in my heel, the cortisone for plantar fasciitis and later on that afternoon my right foot feels like it has a phone strapped to bottom of foot. I've had this since Saturday morning and it's really really distracting me from doing anything.... anyone had this and know what it could be, will be making a doc appt next week but till then it's really bothering me what it could be...

Thanks

it’s probably just an irritated nerve, it should feel better in a couple of days/weeks

Very much Sounds nerve related to me too. I have MS and a buzzing feeling in my feet and legs is a regular sensation for me. Mine happens in both feet and legs at the same time though, maybe the injection you had has niggled/upset a nerve?

Bluesheep8 · 01/01/2018 12:56

Sorry I really didn't mean to worry you or cause any offence by mentioning ms,I was just trying to say that I understand the sensation but that mine is for a different reason Blush

Hi. Your not worrying me, my mother has ms and fibromyalgia and she has mentioned this to me as I have other symptoms of fibromyalgia, but wondering if it's related to having this injection done as it's now happening in both feet. Will see how it goes over next few days and maybe drop into docs and see what they say.

Could well be the injection even if the sensation started in the other foot. I often find that if a nerve in one place on one side of the body is reacting, the same sensation can be felt in the 'matching' nerve on the other side, like a mirror image iyswim. I think nerves will behave in a similar way if irritated, irrespective of the cause of the irritation. Hope it settles soon.

I hope it is just an irritated nerve and will settle soon, still buzzing away 3 days later. Very very annoying and find myself concentrating on the buzzing and it making me feel worse. Going to have to see a doc if still same at end of week, doubt they'll be able to help but need to know if it's caused by injection or something else

I had this some years ago and it coincided with a bulging disc.
