Contraception at 50 - which mini pill?

I've been on a combined pill for the last few years but now that I am 50 I am expecting to be told I'll need to come off it when I have my next review in a few week's time.

I was diagnosed with fibroids previously and the pill was a bit of a last ditch attempt to manage the symptoms. However, I now need it for contraception too (which wasn't the case when I first went on it).

Apparently the position of the fibroids makes the coil impractical but I'm not sure if they are fitted in older women anyway?

Does anyone have any advice on the mini pill? I have some nervousness about progestogen only pulls but options seem limited now.
