for the price, at 24 i think about how much money i would save on glasses and contacts as well as the freedom of perfect eyesight! but i am truly terrified of something going wrong. I will be watching this thread with interest.

I've also been considering this for ages.

My neighbour has had laser surgery firstly in the year 2000 when it didn't work fully, she still needed glasses because for one eye it only corrected from -6 to -2.

She has now had it done again for free by the same doctor (I don't know why she waited so long) and now has perfect eyesight.

The procedure took a total of 45 minutes - including preperation.

Afterwards she had to use saline drops and had dry eyes for a couple of weeks.

I know two other people who have had it done who are very pleased.
