I have an ulcer under my tongue

and it's very sore. It can be seen when i lift my tongue up, it's all red, I put some bonjel on it but it was really sore and numb feeling! I don't know wht's caused it, would antibiotics shift it?

get some Diflam - it'll numb it and take away the pain....

I get them when i am run down or if i slip with the tooth brush...i don't think anti-biotics would help...not sure though. I find gargling with salt water helps.....it's not nice to do but it deadens the pain and def helps with the healing.

go to the chemist and get Adcortyl in Orabase. wipe it over the ulcer and it forms a protective cover so you can eat and drink without too much pain.

I get loads and that and a salt water mouth wash seem to help.

Antibiotics won't help.
