Thyroxine and insomnia?

Hi all! Been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and started Levothyroxine about 2 weeks ago. The last few nights I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get to sleep and STAY asleep. I thought the medication would take 6 weeks to start working, what's going on?!

It will start to make a difference to symptoms after a couple of weeks.

Still feeling no better and managed to get 3 whole hours sleep last night. Feel like crying I'm so tired Sad

Will this get better?
