Lump on cervix

Hi all,

For some reason I decided to check my cervix this morning. I've never done it before so I was a little startled that it felt open and right on the opening and it's not smooth, it's uneven. I've convinced myself I can feel a lump but I'm not sure it's just a flap of skin as it's open.

My dr checked my cervix about a month ago as I'd had a spot of blood after sex and she said that it looked pink and healthy. I've also recently had a full blood mot which all came back normal. Anyone have any experience of this? Is it normal? HELP

I have health anxiety and tend to catastrophise

They are quite normal I have 3 and they are nabothian cysts. I have had them looked at loads and biopsied and all is fine.

If you make an appointment with the nurse at your clinic who does the smear tests I bet they will have a look for you and put your mind at ease.

I've managed to get an appointment this afternoon with my gp. She's fantastic with me and knows how bad I am with health anxiety

I have exactly the same. The dr checked me a few months ago for a prolapse and all was fine so am hoping she saw/felt them then. I'm due a smear in march so was going to question it more then.

Best of luck this evening.

She says there's no lump but I have a tiny cervical ectropian (sp) which has caused me to spot a little before my period
