Infected chicken pox - when can I use bio oi/vit e?

DS (11 months) has got chicken pox quite badly. Went to the doc today and she said they were infected. Am really worried about them scarring as they're so bad. Do I wait until they're all scabbed over before using bio oil or vit e? Or can I start now?

Any help would be gratefully received.

sorry I don't know but keep a close eye on him if they are infected - if you see swelling or if he's spiking a fever that's not going down with calpol take him straight back to the GP or A&E. My friend's DD got cellulitis from an infected chicken pock and had to be admitted to hospital for iv antibiotics. She is absolutely FINE now, by the way, I don't want to scare you. Just be watchul I would say.

Did the dr give you any antibiotics or antibiotic cream? When my 14 month old had infected spots this is what he was given.

He's been given antibiotics and we started those yesterday. But some of the spots are nasty looking, mainly on his face. Please give me some good news about spots fading away to nothing! Even the nasty big ones.
