Small painless lump in armpit- gulp

Please can anyone tell me they've had this and it's turned out to be nothing serious? I've found a small pea sized lump under my arm pit. We're away so I can't get to my GP and I'm freaking out. I've got two little ones and am thinking worst case scenario. It's driving my DH mad as he is very practical and says its probably nothing and I shouldn't jump to dramatic conclusions. I know Dr Google is a terrible plan but I couldn't help it and apparently painless lumps are most likely the most sinister. I'm worried sick.

Probably lymph nodes. Your body is most likely fighting an infection and they should disappear in a few days.

Sebaceous cyst?

Foodylicious · 27/12/2017 16:21

Yep, had a couple that have just gone away.
Have been in growing hairs I think.

Have had one before thst was sore and a bit spot like, so when I had one that didn't hurt I was worried too.
It was gone in a week or so i think?

Blondie87 · 27/12/2017 16:35

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It feels too deep amd not painful for an in growing hair I think. That's why I'm worried because if it was an infected gland or something it would be painful and red?

I had this once and my bra underwire had been rubbing on it, I didn't realise what had caused it until I put that bra on again

I’ve had two lumps, one near armpit and the other in the center of my breast and both times it was a harmless cyst. Was referred quickly to breast clinic who did an ultrasound and reassured me. It’s worrying but please don’t panic.

NormHonal · 27/12/2017 18:54

How little are your little ones? Could be a lump of milk leftover from breastfeeding, which is what mine turned out to be. Had it drained at a breast clinic after ultrasound.

Literally thank you from the bottom of my heart. You're all helping calm my anxiety. Littlest is BF but strangely now only from one side (not the side with issue). So even thigh I've not fed from that side for weeks, maybe it's feeding related. Or a cyst. Will try and stop catastrophising!

I was pregnant first time and breastfeeding second time. They were cysts rather than milk ducts but they said the hormonal changes could have caused them. Neither were at all painful.

I found one a couple of weeks ago and I FREAKED OUT

Turns out it was irritation from my deodorant 🙄😩 I couldn't get to the GP, waited a few days and it's gone now.... maybe wait a few days and see how it goes - don't automatically assume the worst, you'll make yourself worry xx

Got home a day early and managed to get a same day GP appointment- I love the NHS. Got diagnosed as a harmless cyst. Wanted to update incase anyone is in a similar boat. I'm beyond happy and grateful. Happy New Year all x
