Vision affected by screen use?

Has anyone else found that their long distance vision has become blurry through too much screen use? My right eye is becoming more shortsighted (prescription has changed direction from moving +ve to now moving -ve). Both eyes ache too, gets worse as the day goes on. New lenses sorted it for a few months but the fuzziness is slightly beginning to creep in again.

Can’t think what else has caused this change. I have had some weird symptoms the past year (scattered neuro symptoms and tinnitus) which wax and wane, but all tests (full mri of brain spine, ent, vestibular balance tests) were perfect and clear so I was discharged with a probable inner ear malfunction which resolved.

I was guilty of a lot of screen use (7 hours pc at work and at least 3 hours smart phone) and am cutting down as much as possible.

Yes mine has deteriorated over the years due to working on screens. I now wear glasses all the time, can’t see words on the tv otherwise.

Staring at screens all day may make your eyes tired or sore, but it doesn't change your eyesight. That's just age.

Screen use eventually took its toll on my eyes and I now wear glasses for close up and VDU work and my distance is going too.

I also have a lazy eye and found that sitting in my dark office with the strip lights overhead made it ache so much. I've moved to the window and no light and cannot tell you the difference it makes to my vision and my eye no longer aches.
