Do I see the GP? Prolonged periods

I've had the implant since may 2016. No problems at all with it, periods stayed exactly the same as they've always been (heavy, 7 days long)
Perfect. And it means that sickness etc can't affect it (I had a pill failure. A pill I had been taking for years, same time every day without fail, must have been a bug or something that meant it didn't work as I got pregnant)

But... I've now had 2 periods that are longer than normal and painful.
I've never had period cramps before, but last time I did and this time I do too.

My period in November lasted 9 days. I'm on day 8 of this one and I'm still cramping.

So what do I do? Do I see a GP as it's not normal for me? Or do I leave it another month and see if it fixes itself?

I'm in a similar situation to you, OP. Coil since September 2016. I had no periods for until May this year. It started off with spotting every few days for 3 months then a 6 day period every 3 weeks. Now I have been bleeding every day (alternating between very heavy and light, but heavier than spotting) since September. I am going to go to the GP. I hope you do too Flowers

Fatty love, get to dr when you can, if summats not normal for you, it needs checking. (Mine went bonkers as I was going into menopause, but that's not your problem here)
