I started feeling a bit funny on Monday at work. Had to keep going as Tuesday was my last day at work before breaking up for Christmas. On Wednesday I was flying with my son to my parents. It’s Sunday now and since I arrived I have been feeling dreadful. Weak, ligh-headed, sleeping badly, occasionally a bit nauseous, first two days with brain fog - now a bit better. I am lying down all the time. I seem to be feeling a bit better in the evening but in the morning I feel awful again. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Yes, it sounds very like what I have atm, since the 22nd. I have a cough and sore throat although neither are that bad, but I feel sick, weak, achey and as if I'm walking about in a fug. Appetite's shot to pieces - I can only sip meal replacement shakes. And yes I go to bed feeling slightly better then feel terrible again by morning. Lower back is killing me so will take some ibuprofen now I've had a shake.

It's truly awful so you have my full sympathies. And now DD1 has gone down with it too. I think Christmas dinner will be cancelled at this rate. Sad

Thank you for your reply, Liz70. It is horrible, hope you feel better soon. I haven’t got any cold symptoms, just the total lack of energy. Can’t really be up much, legs feel weird and I get light-headed. Is this similar?

Hi Moodgie, I've just got up after going back to bed for the rest of the day (DH is being a star and holding the fort). Much of the time I've just wanted to curl into a ball and not wake up until it's all over.

Certainly along with the achiness my legs have been feeling like lumps of lead. I have to get up in the night to use the loo (drinking more water than usual) and one night I went to stand and almost keeled over like a skittle. Could barely walk up and down the stairs. This has completely knocked me for six. Sad

Yes, it really is horrid. I hope we both feel better very soon! x
