Struggling to breathe & blurry vision

Hi ladies. I have been rushing about trying to organize xmas. We have all been ill and yesterday a did a big house clean and I breathed in a lot of strong bleach spray. I got up this morning with a pain in the center of my chest. I feel like I can't breath all the way in. (Im not asthmatic) I can't focus on things that are the other side of the room (I don't need glasses) not sure what to do. I don't feel ill. It's just my breathing and vision. It may not be related to the bleach. Any idea what it may be? Not sure how to fix myself and I don't have time to be ill. Thank you

I think you should go to A&E and be assessed let the professionals advise you. Chest pain and struggling to breathe could be serious.

A&E op...it could be pneumonia. x

Good luck with the doctors, perhaps take a taxi if it gets worse while you're on your way. As for Christmas it'll probably be OK, as long as you're OK, it doesn't have to be perfect. Worst case some relative could pick up some readymade food at the supermarket, it will work too...

OP, this happened to me a few years ago after accidentally breathing in cleaning products, and the result was pleurisy that took months to disappear.

It was horribly painful, and bizarrely worse in the evening. It felt like an elephant lying on my chest. The first two days after, i also had a migraine, where i lost my vision. This could explain how you are feeling.

I hope you feel much better soon.

How are you doing, bananabread? Hope you are ok

banannabreadforme · 24/12/2017 16:21

Hi everyone. Yes it was from breathing in the bleach. I will from now on pay someone else to deep clean my home. Everyone who looked after me was brilliant. Thank you all for your help and concern. Mumsneters are awesome ❤️
