Ziopin haven't got anything to add but my dh has had the same thing for the last 8 or so days so I'll be interested to see if anyone has any ideas. So far we've had the following theories: dust from building work going on at the moment aggravating him (but hasn't improved after serious bouts of hoovering and cleaning), something he's eating (no conclusions there), some odd kind of pollen that only gets activated in the evenings (I am still keen on this one even though dh doesn't normally get hay fever), and finally just that it's a weird bug that's going round.

Gastric reflux, allergy, post nasal drip, Asthma, or it could be the recent tonsillitis/tracheitis virus that has been around. Think about when it started and anything that happened or changed in the days beforehand. Do any of those possibilities ring a bell?

The hayfever season has well and truly started in our house and is worse at night because all the pollen that has been up in the sky during the day falls down on us in the cooler evening.

My dd had this last year and it was mild asthma triggered by pollen (this lovely weather has sent the tree pollen crazy). Docs said its very common and gave her an inhaler which sorted it.
