Has anyone had a weird virus causing shooting pains?

I've had cold symptoms, sore throat and an on and off fever (worse during the night) since Monday. The weird thing is I have had these random shooting pains in my hands and feet as well as more general aches in my legs. Has anyone had anything like this? Because I have anxiety it's making me really worried :(

Bad colds give me muscle pain.
If it came on very quickly rather than gradually like a cold and you have fever it may be flu: pains quite normal with flu.
Paracetamol,. fluids etc. Sorry you are feeling horrid..

Thank you. I've had a fever on and off for a few days, the pains are really weird though, they come and go very quickly shooting in my hands and feet. I never had them until I had this virus so I guess they're connected. Ibuprofen helps a bit.
